Forgot my Phone Argh!

ludyI am on the train to my Dad’s and have realised I don’t have my mobile with me - argh! Going back home to pick it up would put my arrival at Stratford Upon Avon after the last bus that will drop us off anywhere “near” his retirement village (near = 15-20 minute walk away - as it’s forecast to be solid rain for the next couple of days at least we’ll have to take the 20 minute route) until Monday morning. So I’m not going to go back and will just have to re-experience pre-mobile life for the next few days
(I just forgot to switch it from pyjama/lounging-around-at-home-clothes pocket to my going-outside-in-the-wet-clothes pocket)
I do have my iPad and Kindle Fire. So writing here or email are the best ways to get in touch with me (with Teams, Zoom or Discord also being options)
I feel very stupid for forgetting - I haven’t done that in ages and of course the time I do would be for a time sensitive and very long train journey/being away from home for several days…

Nov. 27th, 2025 06:55 pmlovingbothThis is the best time of the year to get CameraBag, an extremely useful tool for altering photos. It won't let you create pictures, but it will let you change exposure, colour, add text overlays, resize and much more.
With the current sale, it's $14. You get permanent ownership and all of the four or so upgrades that will happen in the next twelve months. Extending that gets another discount.
The 'pro' version can do much the same with video, and costs about twice that. Getting another year cost me just under £10, and I'm delighted to give the developers the money.
Native versions for Windows and Macs, plus 95% of the former now works for photos under Wine on Linux.
