Derby Gay May Day, Saturday 14 May

memevectorI'm off to Derby on Saturday to run a stall at what they're calling "Gay May Day", a sort of mini-Pride for LGBT people, Derby's first. There will be other stalls, including food, and some kind of street entertainments (don't know what).
It's in the Market Place (next to the Assembly Rooms), 11am to 4pm subject to weather. I quote, "Parking is available at the Assembly rooms car park". There are also two venues doing stuff in the evening, 7pm on.
Our stall will have BiCon flyers and my "identity" badges, and some other flyers I made a while ago with bi community info such as BCN's web site. I don't think I'm going to take the banner this time, but I might rustle up some other kind of big label(s) saying "Assume Nothing". I think probably we'll arrive slightly late and be there from maybe lunchtime.
Apparently there's someone who wants to set up a bi group in Derby, who's probably going to come and talk to us.
Anyone else who's there, come and say hello :-)
(Yes, this does mean I'm not going to BiFest after all. I think BiFest had the date first - certainly I heard about that first, and had been semi-planning to go. But I'm kind of drawn to causing a bi presence somewhere that wouldn't otherwise have had much of one (which it probably wouldn't), and I'm rather unenthusiastic about the travelling-to-London aspect of BiFest, so after mulling it over for a while I decided to do this.

artremis & co and cryx to whom I'd actually said something like "maybe see you at BiFest then". I feel a bit disappointed about that. But will let you know next time I'm in London for some other reason.)

I made something for Anna - as i'm not going to be abke to give it toi you at bifest could you email me with your postal address (becasue although i'm sure i already had it, now i need it i can't find it anywhere!)
